What support for UML is in Delphi 2010?
As we discussed in the first part, both Delphi and C++Builder 2010 have the ability to do UML Visualization in every version of the product from Professional to Architect. In Delphi 2010 Enterprise and above, the product has full UML integration as part of the experience and in Delphi 2010 Architect it has the non-code based Design UML projects.
Today when it comes to support for UML, Delphi is making key technologies available to developers to help them communicate better, create better designs quicker, have the ability to set coding standards and check the health of a Delphi application. Plus, it also supports automatic Documentation Generation, which all developers like.
Delphi 2010 now supports both types of diagrams; those based on source code and the other based on design. An example of a diagram based on source would be a Class diagram, which uses the LiveSource™ engine to automatically keep the code and model in-synch at all times.

Databases V6.2,
an update to our easy-to-use

DeZign for Databases V6.2 introduces schema/owner mapping, a new feature that enables you to map schema names in your data model to schema names in your database when comparing (and synchronizing) your model with your database. The new version also adds support for case insensitive comparison of model and database. Version 6.2 offers several other enhancements, such as a improved generation of PDF reports and improved model-to-database synchro-nization scripts.
